Len, 3" buffing disk?

Hey Len, I need to get one of the orange 3" buffing disks. I see the disks for sale but don't see the backing disk except in the kit with the buffer. Do you sell the backing disk seperate? How does it attach to the buffer? Can I use a variable speed drill for this?
