I had my bumpers replated. The insides of the bumpers were not ground smooth like the fronts and are pitted, but replated. Can I paint the inside of the bumpers? Or is there a specialty coating for use over chrome?Thank YOU.
I've had good luck by lightly sandblasting chrome then using epoxy primer then urethane but that's not necessary when painting the back. I'd still lightly blast to give the surface some tooth then I'd spray the back with some gray or black Zero Rust. The Zero Rust bonds well with the surface and will look great because it's not a high gloss. One aerosol should do it.
