I have noticed that most product lines have a buffing compound, polishing compound, glazing compound, and then a wax.

What products do you really need to get a show car best you can get shine, after sanding and buffing?

It's as much the machines you're using as the polish you're using. We can get a "show car" result with Wizard's Mystic Cut but we need the right pads on the right buffer then we use an orbital polisher to finish the job. We use a Makita 9227C initially with an orange foam pad then switch to a Makita BO6040 to finish. Check out Robert's method (linked below) but he also changes as he experiments with new products.
