DuraBlock 7003 & Changing tip size

Hey all. I'm looking to buy a gun to use primarily for shooting primer such as DP90 and .. um.. crap I forget the other stuff I have. ..its PPG, high fill, tan/creamy color.. Regardless, high fill primer will need to be sprayed.




I'm lookin at the Dura-Block 7003 (http://autobodystore.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=DBGMS&Category_Code=2DBSG) to meet this need I think. I'm figurin I'll buy a second tip size while I'm at it but I see
there are size specific Fluid Tips and also size specific Needle/Nozzle Kits (http://autobodystore.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=db7003parts&Category_Code=2DBSG). I'm assuming I need to order one of each of those for each size right? Is there anything else I'm missing for using multiple sizes?



Also, whats the What size tips do you feel would be wise to get? Would a 1.7 and a 2.2 set cover my bases well enough? is 2.2 to big maybe?

I honestly havent researched tip size recently, and I probably will do so tommorrow. I figured I'd throw that in though since I'm already posting a question.

My brother has a Finishline II that I'll probably be using for my top coats.

The 7003 comes with a 1.3 and I think you would be better off spraying your topcoat with this gun rather than switching to the Finishline 2.

The additional tip sizes should be purchased as "needle, nozzle sets" because you get the fluid tip (nozzle) and the correct needle. As far as which size to purchase that would depend on the viscosity of the materials you're spraying but I'd say that most epoxy and filler primers could be sprayed with the 1.5 or 1.7 tip and for spraying polyester spray fillers you could use a 1.9 or 2.2 tip.
