Just got my latest edition of "THE SATA NEWS" from our friends at DanAm the American Importer of SATA guns and accessories. Seems that the massive price increase they had when they removed their guns from the Internet and came out with the 3000 series just didn't cut it as they have announced an across the board price increase effective September 1, 2006.
So instead of being just ridiculously overpriced as they are now they will become ludicrously overpriced. Got to love these guys, what a pair.

well I've been reading about how gr8t these guns are, as I'm in the market for another. But there's a limit to how much catering to anyone I'm gonna do.
If thier guns jump up and paint the panels themselves (flawlessly) call me, I might pick one up.

 BOYCOTT SATA:mad:
There are other guns out there. Think outside the box.
Buy something else like Iwata, Geo, Devilbess, Sharpe Titanium.
An experienced painter should be able to produce a great finish with any of them. You just wont be able to brag to your friends about having a status symbol.

I don't blame Sata at all myself. Hell if people are willing to pay it why not ?
Sometimes you pay too much for what you get in my opinion. But a lot of guys must be willing to pay it . Not me though as far as i'm concerned a Plus is a much better deal and just as good. Mooch :p

I finally got to use my new sata 3000 hvlp for the last few days and I would love to see another brand spray as good. Well worth the money.

imo theres nothing better then sata i have a sata primer, and sata digi hvlp spray gun.. i use 1 of them just about everyday ... my coworker has the iwata(something)... ive tryed it, not in the same ballpark as a sata .. just my 2 cents
Sata can keep their over-priced, Over Rated product and put it where the sun dont shine imho.
Currently they have no product that even gets close to the capabilities of the
Iwata LPH-400-Lvp, I cant for the life of me think why anyone would even consider buying a Sata product.
But thats just me.

they are definetely over priced but if you havent tried there new gun then dont say there is something better out there cause i liked my old rp but when i bought the new 3000 rp it defintetely had its advantages but of course no matter how good the gun is you can still get the same results with a 50 dollar gun if you are going to cut and buff just makes the work a little harder but iwatas are definetely awesome too

I prefer my Iwatas, but the sata guns are very good to...
With my Iwatas I can still fit my old cups to my new guns! What a concept! You don't have to buy anything else to use your old cups! Gee...and to upgrade my 5 year old 400-lp to the new and improved base coat configuration all I have to do is buy a new cap! So instead of creating a new gun to make me spend big bucks, they worked on improving the one I have ...I like that kind of attitude in a compagny...
I am not knocking sata's guns, they are very good but it's the company's attitude I don't like...and their distributors suck big time...Its not like we don't have any alternatives...I think they are shooting themselves in the foot.
Just my 2 cents...
Ps: I agree with Mooch that the Plus is probably the best bang for the buck on the market at the moment...
