I just had my tank painted using bc/cc and as soon as I got it back, masked it off and 'sealed' the spout with epoxy. (Since then) over the last month or so each time I fill up, the paint and epoxy are progressively worse!!

the epoxy has completely pealed away, then the paint. now most all of its gone down to the seem where the filler spout meets the tank. any further peeling and I wont be able to hide it.

should I just rescuff it down and epoxy just the part 'outside' of where the filler cap rubber gasket touches?

btw, the gasket is new so leaking isnt a problem.

I'll try to shoot a few pix tonight.

First thing I would tape around the outside of the spout for protection. Then remove the junk on the inside. After that I would 120-180 the out side of he spout to clean it up. Best way I know of with what you have.
