I painted this fuel tanker the other day this is the only pic I have. No lighting at all but it turned out pretty good for the circumstances. Only painted the tank and cabinets(inside too), not the cab. PPG CRE then PPG MAE with Finishline 3 1.8 tip.

Nice! I love painting big stuff. We've painted everything from car carriers to fire trucks to airplanes and some can be a real challenge. Did you paint the entire exterior at one time or did you mask it off in sections?

Here's a project we did a few years ago.

I painted the whole thing at once. Inside the cabinets were the plumbing, hose reels, grounding wire and reel, pumps ,etc. the only thing masked was the cab wrapped up with plastic, the bumpers and the gauges inside.

Yeah that was AE with hardener over CRE epoxy primer. For what I paint that FLG3 with 1.8 tip is the ultimate gun. I've sprayed everything from epoxy primer, hi build surfacer, I've even sprayed base and clear with that same gun which actually turned out very well even with the big tip. I like AE okay but for about 10% more money I prefer acrylic urethane, for me it just seems to do a better job with coverage and finish. Thanks
