Hello there my name is Rick and glad to find this site. I paint and do some body work as a hobby. Mainly started on my motorcycle tins and just kind of branched out from there.
I remember when I first bought my gravity fed spray gun, I thought I was on top of the world. Yea I know what you're thinking; "don't take much to get you excited." But I sure did enjoy the results!
I have one question though for someone that has worked with convertables. I have a project that I'm currently working on with my '89 Mustang vert that I just can't figure out concerning my top. I have had a new top put on it and a new frame installed.
The top also has a new header gasket, installed when the top was replaced; but I'm still getting a leak or two in heavy down pours through the front header. And on the top of the windshield, that piece of metal tilts toward the middle from both the passenger and drivers side of the windshield. So I have a 'depression' in the middle.
I've had the top adjusted by the installer but can't seem to rectify the problem. Would you take that metal strip off the top of the windshield where the top meets the windshield and "build that up", or............
Any help would be appreciated, and glad to be here (sorry for such a long first post:D ). -----Rick-----
