i was gonna put the ls1 in my fierro but my tow truck driver droped my car in the middle of the freeway an a peterbuilt killed it it was upside down anyways so i guess it was dead before the big truck hit it...:gloomy:

I have a Grand National here that is too far gone since you cant find panels for it and someone installed a sunroof at one point,I bought this 1984 with 12k miles off of the original owner it has ZERO rust, even has three of the four original tires on it,I am install all of the drivetrain, interior, ect. from the g/n into this,it made more sence to do it this was,I now have a 12k mile g/n :)

I remember when they first came out. There was the Buick GN and then the hyped up model GNX 500, I think only like 500 were made or something. The thing that killed it was the paint, they had to have used the cheapest paint that China money can buy, even in the showroom it looked like crap, most is not all were flat black within a year.
Your car looks nice though.
Check your springs, they were known for sagging in the back, I can see in the pic that the rear is lower than the front, common problems on them, the monte's and Grand Prix Cars.
Get some after market drop springs to even it out and keep the sag away. Maybe something like B7G or H&R springs if they have them, stay away from Eibach for those model cars though.

Same car, but the GN and GNX came with a Turbo Charged 3.8 Liter that rocked for the first 48K miles, then you needed to rebuild the turbo when it started to smoke.
I think the SUV, GM Typhoon had the same motor, but with a better turbo. That 3.8 was a beast though, you could do tons of work to it and keep it reliable even with a larger turbo, those motors held up.

The Regal Type T had the turbocharged motor same as the GN. I blew up my first turbo at 17k but had some friends that go 80k or so out of them!!

Thats right, the T-Type had the turbo too. Same car for the most part though.
I still like the style of the GN, so much more bold than the regal.
