Here are some pictures of a car I have been working on for the last 5 months in my spare time.I sprayed it today at work. This job was done in the factory 1972 GM code 63 Mohave gold with Sikkens Autowave and Superior 250 clear, and sprayed with a sata 4000RP.Enjoy the pictures. On a side note only 700 or so were built in 72,very few were mohave gold, pretty rare so I'm told.

Great finish! To me, that body shape is the cat's meow. It's my favorite out of any shape I've seen. Love when the decklid doesn't have the wing and it goes straight down to the beautiful round taillights. Just a beautiful car in general. Great work!

Nice work Jason. Do you get to do many "classics" or rare cars?

Nice work as usual Jason . But to me that is one ugly color . Might look good to me when it is all together though .

Thanks for the kind words.
Len I have done quite a few classics and rare cars over the last 25 years, but I specialize in GM muscle cars like chevelles, camaros and novas. This one I did start to finish in my home shop and the painting in the spraybooths at work. All I do is paint now, have for quite a few years,so it was a nice change.

Mooch I agree with you,it is a god awful color,no amount of polishing(can't polish a turd) will make it a nice color. The owner is doing all the assembly minus the glass and weatherstrip...so it will be gone soon.

That's Placer Gold. I've got a 72 Z28 same color. Thats a great color on that car for a couple of black stripes.;)

Nope according to my computer the formula I used is 1972 gm code 63,it was mixed right cause I mixed it and also did a sprayout to compare to original color before the car was sprayed ;) Colors never look right on a computer screen, they only look right in day light. It's not my car,the owner is doing all the assembly

Diablo I really like the 4000rp,have been using it since Dec2010.Also a user of first gen rp and the 3000rp,the 4000 has a wider fan and better atomization, more comfortable, demo one,you will like it.

Yeah i used Jon Kosmoski's Gun the other day at a class on the new Shimrin 2 line It showed the 6 inch pattern at 6 inches was perfectly squared off instead of being oval. This shold make a big difference in an overall kandy job. I'll have to get one soon i just have to figure out how to squeeze the money out of the wifes hands lol
