Wached the video on the 3m PPS (Paint Preparation System). Looks very handy for a full-time pro. Not really worth it for a hobbiest or does somebody disagree??

I neither agree nor disagree but the primary advantage afforded by this system is the ability to spray a gravity gun upside down. To me this is a great advantage if spraying the bottom parts of a car. The clean up issues I consider less significant which makes SATA and Iwata's copies of 3M's idea useless since they don't use the bladder which enables this to happen and therefore are nothing more than disposible plastic cups.

I'll disagree. As a hobbist without a gun cleaner it makes all the world of difference in how much solvent I use for cleaning and the disposal of said same.
It also makes cleaning the gun up between products a snap

And got tired to buy the bladders...they get expensive after a while. Cleaning a gun never was a problem in my book. I use it now only for primer and under coats as I can spray in any direction (great for spraying under a car on a lift). I found that I could not trust it for any pressure sensitive paints like kandy and pearls as the amount of material comming out of the gun is not the same when the bladder is full than when it's less than half full. The emptier the bladder gets, the more difficult it is to suck the product out I guess...
I find the large ones more usefull as they are almost the same price as the small ones.

for those that want ease of cleanup and the lower cost, try the OMX bags. I used to use them daily on the job. they are my preference over the pps system.
