Im into offroading and fabricate jeep bumpers, im looking for a decent gun setup to spray the bumpers and the differentials under the jeep. I heard that single stage paint holds up well aginst chips and such, will probally be spraying that. Unless you would reccomend something different. And a etching primer for the bare metal bumpers first. I see that you sell this kit in your store here, would this suit my needs or would you reccomend something else?

Hi Justin
This is a decent kit for the money but you should realize that spray guns priced this low have their limitations. These are what most experienced painters refer to as throwaway guns because parts are not available and the engineering isn't as good as better guns. However, for quick and cheap work they can do the job for you. There's a couple things to keep in mind.... 1. These guns are priced at about $30 each and..... 2. You get what you pay for.

What would be a decent gun for painting primer and a single stage paint on fabricated bare metal bumpers? Im new to spraying and dont want to waste money on junk and having to upgrade, but yet not doing production paint jobs at a body shop eather. Any suggestions on a decent gun?

Like Mooch said that may work for you but I usually recommend a DeVilbiss Finishline gun as my least expensive recommendation. You should also get a decent cleaning kit to do a good job of cleaning out the primer after you spray it. The gun kit linked below can spray your primer with the 1.5 or 1.8 tip and the single stage color can be sprayed using the 1.3 tip. Gun cleaning kits are shown of the page linked below and a short video on "Gun Cleaning" can be found at the top of the General Discussion forum. You'll also need an inlet pressure gauge (http://autobodystore.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=DEVHAV501&Category_Code=1D).
