just need to get this off my chest! two weeks ago some low life dirtbags thought they would help themselves to my tools and broke into my house. they ransacked it and stole tv's, vcr's flipped over all my furniture dumped out every drawer in the house and when they looked in the garage and saw all my tools they had a field day and took everything and i mean everything! all my tools including nail guns, grinders, laser, builders level, chipping guns, the list goes on (approx. $8000.00 so far), i'm just learning body repair and paint and was having a lot of fun with it, so i didn't have many tools collected yet! but they got what i had compressor,2 spray guns,d/a,longboard, not much but i went to work everyday to earn money to buy these things and these bastards clean me out in only a few minutes!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH SOME PEOPLE!! YOU DON'T STEAL A MANS TOOLS!!!!!! TAKE MY VCR,TV,,STEREO, HELL MOST TIMES YOU COULD HAVE MY WIFE TOO!!!! BUT LEAVE MY DAMN TOOLS ALONE!!!! well i just needed to vent a little thanks for listening! i know one thing for sure now, locks are only to keep the honest people out, because these guys kicked three doors in, the deadbolts just helped blow the jambs into splinters!!

thanks for listening

I know exactly how you feel. I had an employee that had been here for about 5 years. For the most part I trusted the guy, big mistake. He decided to quit and stole about $5000.00 (and still finding more things gone a year later)worth of tools and shop equipment. The worst part of the whole thing is the cops know he did it and won't do a damm thing. They went and interviewed him and he said he didn't do it and that was the end of it. He beat up his girl friend last fall and she told several people who he sold the stuff too. Cops never even went and investigated anyone. Hopefully your insurance company won't be too hard on you. Mine was employee theft, they don't cover that.
