Finaly getting out my new dura block 007 gun. Where do you set the air control valve that is down near the air inlet? Is that only used when you don't use a regulator?

Don't know about the 007 but I never use that valve I make sure it's wide open and control the air with a regulator at the gun.

Thanks Earl, that is what I was thinking. the gun did not come with any set up instructions other than how to take it apart and put it together.

I set the hose pressure at about 70 PSI then set the regulator at the gun (007) at 30 PSI with the trigger pulled and air blowing through the gun.

Thanks Len, I have another question about the 007. The little strainer that goes in the bottom of the paint cup, It will not fit the metal cups. If you put it below the cup and screw it on, it blocks the flow of paint. I had to take it out to work. At first I thought something was wrong with the gun. very little paint would come out. After removing the screen it worked fine.

Yep, that's the reason I don't use those little cup strainers in any of my spray guns. Filter the paint as you pour it into the cup and toss the cup strainers.
