I sprayed 4 coats of ppg ncp 271 over 2 coats of dp40lf epoxy tonight,I was using my new finish line hvlp gravity gun,I thought it was taking quite a while to apply the primer but figured it was because of the hvlp and had virtually no over spray, well when I went to clean the gun I relized that I grabed the wrong gun,I used the gun with the 1.3 tip instead of the one with the 1.5,the primer calls for a 1.4-1.6 tip, should I be worried about any problems from useing the wrong tip.It looks good, there are a few dry spots, its going to be block sanded anyway and possibly more primer if needed.thanks-Harvey

you probably have a better smoother finish with the 1.3. you will know when you block it. I used a 2.0mm tip when I sprayed 2K Urethane primer, just to get it on there fast with higher build.
Did you like the gun? I have a 1.4mm setup for my BC/CC

I love the gun,it worked great on the epoxy, worked good on the surfacer but would have worked better if I used the gun that I used with the epoxy with the larger tip.thanks-Harvey
Yes, the 1.5 would probably work a little better but there should be no problem as long as the primer is applied wet. Dry spots tend to lay on the surface and not hold on as well as primer that is applied wet.

as long as I am blocking it down I should have no problem with the primer holding on right?Like I said its not the whole car just a few areas I coldnt see real well.Have to light it up better when I paint it.thanks-Harvey
