I use a Harbor Freight HVLP gun for primer. It works very well for the price. I've even shot BC/CC with it when I had a problem with my Sata and I have to say I couldn't really see a huge difference, although the Sata does lay the clear flatter.

With the 2K primer that I usually spray I use a 1.4 but if you're purchasing a dedicated primer gun I'd recommend going a little larger, somewhere around a 1.5 or 1.6.

Is that reduced, or just the primer and catalyst?

lightly reduced.

I follow the primer manufacturer's directions. If they say reduce it 10% then I reduce it 10%.

Don't mean to be a nuissance, but with this primer, do I need any reducer? It just says one part catalyst with one part primer with no mention of reducer. At the top though it mentions which reducer to use with it, but never how much. Something that threw me was the variance in tip size. It says an hvlp from 1.2 to 1.8 will work, that seems like a BIG difference. Could you enlighten me?

I've shot qute a bit of the Enduro Primer and I use a H.F. gun with the 1.4 tip and I've never had a problem. The Enduro primer is a Epoxy primer that mixes 1 to 1. Primer and reducer. the reducer is the activator.. I like the procduct, it sprays good and after a couple of days drying it sands nice also....GlennK

Glenn, so you just mix the one part catalyst(EPC-611) to one part enduro primer(EP-611) and thats it? I am not sure I understand, do you add reducer(UR-9075) to thin it a bit, or just straight? I am going to order some and need to know if I should purchase the reducer as well as the primer and catalyst.
Thanks

glad you find the Kirker epoxy so easy to use. I know I have tried my best to sell the entire world on Kirker epoxy :o) It sands well after a short time. Anyway..I use a 1.7 tip on my primer gun, but ceratinly most primer will spray fine with a 1.4, espoecially epoxies. I like the 1.7 to lay a little more material.

Pete, do you add reducer, or just the catalyst and primer?
Thanks

Don't use any reducer. Just mix equal parts from the two cans and spray. The instructions on the can about reducing are for using it as a sealer.
