View Full Version : D A vs Mud Hog
Reading an article a guy was using a mug hog for sanding, he prefered it over the D A sander. What is the difference between the two and is one better than the other? Thanks RLS

As far as I know, the mudhog is a DA. It just has a larger pad and is more powerful than a regular DA.
Most people are refering to an orbital when they say DA. A mud hog is more for removing material quickly while an orbital is more for feathering and making the paint smooth. A mudhog is usually used on body filler or for stripping paint.
