Hey guys, In the past I have used Rattle can paint for say the engine block and other engine parts.

What are the options for regular paint to deal with the higer heat and grease and such?

I am not planning on painting the exhaust or anything like that, just the block, head, valve cover and things alike.

Any input would be appreciated.

You can use almost any automotive paint. The heads will burn some off on the exhaust side.

Didn't know I can do that.

I thought the high heat paints had ceramic in them or something to that effect.

Yeah you can use any automotive paint to paint your engine. I used House of Kolor one time. Never took a pix, but it looked dam good when it returned a few years later.
