Cheap Flocker

HI Len, Been a long time:D
Hey the Speed Blaster makes a great flocker.

I plugged the tip with a screw from the back side and filled mine half way with flocking
and it blows out the top three holes real sweet.
So is it a flocking gun or a blaster :p
Really is cool for small projects Like the back of old glove box doors.

You know a lot of the Cars did have their Glove box doors done on the back side. But we don't see many folks having that restored for some reason.
We don't offer it anymore, but its super easy.
I did my Old Buick for fun when I had one Packard I had to do in a nice Gold Flock. I bought a Flocking gun I think it was about $120 bucks or so.
The Speed Blaster worked better :rolleyes: I think some custom guys are still doing the center Consoles and stuff like that with it.
I did hear that one of the Batmobiles had the whole body done, it had Bat Hair AKA black Flocking.
That must have been some mess after awhile:D
A guy At Hershey showed me a finish no one could seem to duplicate.
It was a part that had been Flocked and all the flocking was warn off and it was just a textured glue surface left behind, he thought it was some super rare finish HAHA fun stuff :p

PS: The New Finish I'm working on is a mother of pearl coating for steering wheels and stuff like that, its looking wild. I got a ways to go though.
My Buick Wheel will get the first Coat of this goop:fingers_c

Wow, that pearl is pretty cool. I've been restoring cars for a long time and I don't know where I'd use the pearl except on a custom job however I have also been doing some custom art work on furniture where some of the pearl would fit in nicely. Is it a commercial product or something you're developing?

Just something I'm playing with in the shop. Its kind of on the back burner now. I'm still looking for a market for it before I put to much more time into it.
Its fun to experment though.;)
