Len,I have now shot the Centari twice with the Croix turbine and to my eye the finish is perfect. The second time I increased the ratio from 8-2-1 to 8-3-1 and it seemed to lay a lot smoother. I am finding that the reducer I am using is the best solvent to clean the gun. Is it ok to use this for gun cleaning?
It's ok to use the reducer for cleaning but it's usually too expensive. Lacquer thinner will do a good job of cleaning for a lot less money. I usually purchase my thinner in 5 gal cans and pour it into one gallon can and a squeeze bottle (shown below) for everyday use. If you purchase thinner be sure to ask for "cleaning thinner" and not "spraying thinner", it's a lot less expensive and does just as good a job.

So Lacquer thinner should be my only cleaning solution when cleaning my gun? I plan to spray AU. Sherwin Williams sells a paint gun cleaning solution, but it cost about 23 a gallon, not sure if it will clean.
Thanks
Rich
We only use lacquer thinner and the tools pictured in my previous post. I've been cleaning guns this way for four decades without having any problems. However, I've never used dedicated gun cleaner so I don't know if it's any better or worse but thinner does a good job and is fairly inexpensive.

i see a few different gun cleaning kits from 11pcs to 23 pcs, which will i need for a mini gun? im assuming the kit with more pcs has smaller brushes right?
The smaller kit on the Specials page is a good buy for $11.95 but the Master Kit is the best one we sell. It's pretty much a "get what you pay for" type of thing.

I think we pay around $43 Can for a 5 gal pail of gun cleaner, which today is around $43 US. Hooray!
