View Full Version : Iwata W400lv 1.4 lph lvb or lvx cap?
Hi, I read on another forum someone was useing a lph400 lvb cap on his W400lv gun. Has anyone tried this with the lvb or lvx cap? Does this work?

I am waiting to buy the LVX cap as it is not yet available alone (I already own a few LPH400-LVs...so I just want the cap) I think...Len?
The LVB cap is a very specialized cap used only for very difficult pearls and metalics. It produces a very wide fan at a very low pressure. It needs some time and some experimentation to get used to but it does work wonders for those difficult jobs. However, its not an everyday basecoat cap, the LVX is the basecoat workhorse they say...but the LV cap works fine too...I would not suggest the LVB as the only cap...and the LVB can not spray clear...I repeat...it can not spray clear...you need an LV cap for clear.
I do alot of House of Kolor paints, the pearls (PBCs) in some colors are very difficult to place and the LVB cap has prooven its worth there.
I do all of the rest of my work with the good old LV cap...
Hi Serge, Thank you very much for the reply and all the great information. I still have a question if the lvb or lvx caps that are designed for the LPH400 gun will work on the W400lv4 gun. Thanks again for the reply.

w400lv is compliant spray gun 20 psi
lvb and lvx caps made for lph400 lvlp only 14 to 16 psi and not w400lv
if you want to use lvb cap then you must convert your w400lv to lph400:)
best regards
