I am using PPG products on my current project - a '67 Ford Mustang Fastback. Here is what I have done so far. DPLF epoxy primer (DP74LF) over cleaned and sanded steel. I then applied K36 acrylic urethane primer surfacer and have it finish sanded. I plan to use Concept (DCC) acrylic urethane single stage paint.
I am painting the car with a 1966/1967 Ford color called Candyapple Red (Color Code T).
My question is this: Is it recommended that I use a primer sealer over the K36 before spraying the DCC? Are there pros and cons on using the sealer? Any advice would be appreciated.
